Join David Emitt Adams, internationally known photographer and master tintype instructor for an 8-day workshop in the rural hills of Tuscany. Participants will learn the in-camera wet plate collodion process using metal as the substrate. You’re free to create unique images in the tradition of portraiture, still life, or landscape in whatever manner you choose. Included in this workshop is a demo on basic case making and dedicated time throughout the 9 days to gather as a community and share work & ideas.
The cost of the workshop includes room and board for 9 nights (double occupancy), all workshop supplies, and all local transportation (airfare to and from Florence, Italy not included). Workshops will take place at the Villa San Rocco, an 11-bedroom (ensuite) Baroque villa situated in the hills of Benabbio, a medieval village in the beautiful Garfangana region of Tuscany. Most meals will be home cooked in the Italian tradition of fresh ingredients prepared daily and eaten in a communal setting.
